HUẾ SYMPHONY is a musical dialogue between East and West, between tradition and modernity, and is also the next music night in the BamBoo Concerto series organised by BamBoo Artists Agency. The event will take place in 2 days 19th and 20th October 2024.

Speaking at the press conference, Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism Nguyen Van Phuc said, the ancient capital of Hue is famous for its rich culture, history and heritage, especially the Nguyen Dynasty Relic Complex and Nha Nhac - Vietnamese Royal Court Music. Hue is also a place of exchange and integration and is gradually affirming its important position in developing into a cultural and tourist centre of Vietnam. Therefore, the birth of the program "HUẾ SYMPHONY" is a testament to this development orientation of the locality.

The special thing about “HUẾ SYMPHONY” lies in the subtle combination of classical music and folk music, between Western instruments and Vietnamese traditional instruments. The audience will enjoy world classics, famous Vietnamese works, especially the characteristic melodies of Binh - Tri - Thien land, all blended into a unique concert.

Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism said that, from the perspective of tourism development, “HUẾ SYMPHONY” has the potential to become a unique cultural tourism product of Hue. In the future, it is expected that this will become a regular programme, an unmissable destination for tourists when coming to the Ancient Imperial Capital. This not only contributes to diversifying Hue's tourism products but also enhances cultural experiences for visitors, while creating a high-quality music playground for local people.

The programme's lineup brings together top names, promising to bring a truly quality and classy music night. The artists who will perform at this special music night include Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, bamboo flute artist Tran Khanh Tuong, singers Duc Tuan, Ngoc Khue, Dao Mac, Bach Tra, Xuan Dinh K.Y and DJ Huy Ngo. They are all true artists with powerful voices and very unique styles that make their names.

“Imagine the sounds of a symphony orchestra combined with traditional instruments resounding together under the skillful arrangement of composer Tran Manh Hung in the standard space of the Huong River Theater and enjoy a story about Hue through each selected work. Each artist performing in the music night is carefully arranged and selected for each performance to bring the best impression to the audience. Not only music, the audience can also admire the unique musical instrument exhibition in Hue with a porcelain violin crafted by artisan and violinist Nguyen Xuan Huy, the first person in Vietnam to successfully craft a porcelain violin and the only one to perform before the Emperor of Japan in 2019 with a unique set of musical instruments of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Bien Chung set”, said Program Production Director - CEO Chau LE.
