(TITC) - From 25th to 27th August 2023, Hoi An Lantern Festival will be held in Wernigerode, Germany with several exciting activities.

This activity is held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Hoi An City (Vietnam) and Wernigerode (Germany). This is the 3rd time, Hoi An Lantern Festival is held at Wernigerode.
On this occasion, the two cities will also inaugurate the Hoi An Garden at People's Park in Wernigerode City and promote the Eco-Road project in Hoi An.
This year, many exchange delegation groups from Wernigerode City have planned to visit Hoi An, showing the good and strong relationship between the two cities in the present and in the future.
Hoi An Lantern Festival in Germany was held for the first time in 2013 and the second time in 2019. In Hoi An Lantern Festival this year, people and visitors can enjoy art performances, demonstrations of lantern making, calligraphy and other crafts of Hoi An.
The two cities also agreed to decorate the streets of Wernigerode with lanterns.
A representative of Hoi An Culture and Sports Center said that the Hoi An Lantern Festival is one of the events that attracts a large number of visitors to the German city of Wernigerode. In particular, not only serving local tourists in Germany, Vietnamese expatriates in Germany also consider this as a festival to meet friends, enjoy the taste of food, and perform art shows of Hoi An.
