(TITC) - The two direct flights connecting Da Nang (Vietnam) and Guangzhou and Hong Kong (China) have been restored post the pandemic.

On 3rd July 2023, flight number VN-549 departed from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (China) and landed at Da Nang International Airport with 200 visitors.
It marks the first direct flight from Guangzhou to Da Nang post the pandemic.
Accordingly, direct flights operate in the form of charter flights by Vietnam Airlines, with a frequency of 3 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays by Airbus A321.
As per flight schedule, the flight will take off in Guangzhou at 21:40 and land in Da Nang at 22:55 (local time), after a journey of more than 2 hours.

Earlier, Vietjet Air also officially restored direct flights connecting Da Nang with Hong Kong (China). The Da Nang - Hong Kong route is operated with a frequency of 4 round-trip flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flight routes connecting Da Nang with Macau, Taiwan - China, have also resumed operation.
Before the pandemic outbreak, the aviation industry operated many direct routes from China to Da Nang such as: Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Baotou, Xi'an, Baita, Hebei, Hunan, Guiyang, Shanxi, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Changzhou.
According to the 2023 summer flight schedule of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, direct flights from China to Da Nang will resume operations this year.
In the first 6 months of 2023, the total number of tourists staying in Da Nang reached 3.5 million arrivals. In which, international visitors reached 930,000 arrivals, an increase of 11.3 times over the same period in 2022, domestic visitors reached 2.57 million arrivals.
The average length of stay of international tourists is more than 2 days/ arrival in Da Nang. The growth of visitors also contributed to a sharp increase in revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services.
