Finding the world’s best air carriers is exactly the point of airline rating site Skytrax, which has hosted the World Airline Awards every year since 1999. To gather this year's results, UK-based aviation consulting firm Skytrax conducted independent customer surveys on more than 325 airlines worldwide from September 2022 to May 2023.

The national carrier Vietnam Airlines appeared at the 44th place in the World’s Top 100 Airlines, up from the 48th in 2022. Among these are Southeast Asian airlines such as Bangkok Airways (29), Garuda Indonesia (30), Air Asia (31), Thai Airways (40), and Malaysia Airlines (47).

On 31st May, AirlineRatings.com, a prestigious airline rating organisation, announced its Top Excellence Airlines in the World for 2023. In which, Vietnam Airlines headed the list of the Top Twenty Five Airlines in the World for 2023, while Vietjet has bagged 2 awards in the Top Twenty-Five Low-Cost Airlines for 2023 categories as Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline and Best Low-Cost Airline Onboard Hospitality which recognizes the amazing value of its onboard offering.
