(TITC) - On 29th May, Hue Festival Center (Thua Thien Hue Province) informed that within the framework of the Summer Festival of Hue Festival 2023, International Kite Festival 2023 with the participation of many Southeast Asian countries will take place from 3rd – 9th June.

The festial will open at 4:30 p.m on 3rd June at Tu Tuong Park along to many interesting activities such as kite-flying art performance, kite-making experience and kite display.
The kite display area will present 120 traditional kites (wingspan from 1.5m to 3m) in shapes of dragon, phoenix, peacock, hawk, crow, swallow, rooster, butterfly, and goldfish. Dragon kite is 50m long.
The kite making experience space themed “Kite of childhood’’ aims to guide children the process to make a kite and let them making themselves, decorating the kites.
In particular, an exchange program on art kite-flying will be held at the Ngo Mon Square on the afternoons of 4th June, 5th June and 8th June; and at Thuan An beach on 6th – 7th June.

The program has the particular of international kite clubs from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand and a group of Hue kite artists (the host), along with domestic kite clubs, namely: Canh Dieu Vang Restaurant Club (Nam Dinh Province), Phuong Hoang Art Kite Club and Huong Duong Kite Club (Ho Chi Minh City).
The International Kite Festival 2023 is organized with the goals to promote and preserve the art of making kites and flying kites; at the same time forming and developing a new culture - art - tourism festival in Thua Thien Hue in the summer.
