(TITC) - On 21st May 2023, tenders carried 2,600 international passengers and more than 1,000 member crews from Costa Serena Cruise ship (Italian nationality) docked in Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City for passengers to visit the Phu Quoc Island (South Vietnam).

This group of visitors visited and experienced in Phu Quoc until 6pm on the same day. Visitors paid a visit to learn about culture and famous attractions in pearl island. Kien Giang’s tourism industry and Phu Quoc’s authorities set up 60 coaches with 50 seats to support the tour group. Many passengers on the Costa Serena said that this was the first time visiting Phu Quoc Island. Most visitors commented that Phu Quoc has beautiful scenery, hospitable and friendly locals, especially Vietnamese food has an impressively unique taste, unlike any other place in the world.
According to Mr. Bui Quoc Thai, Director of Kien Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, sea tourism is a quality service with high spending. In 2023, businesses are expected to welcome a number of cruise ships to Phu Quoc.

In order to welcome the influx of international visitors by sea, Kien Giang is urgently completing the infrastructure for tourism, especially soon completing the Phu Quoc international passenger port, with the maximum capacity to serve up to 6,000 passengers, said Mr. Bui Quoc Thai.
Costa Serena is known as a luxury castle in the middle of the ocean. The ship has a length of over 290m, a width of 35.5m, a static height of 62m... On board there are swimming pools, jacuzzis, luxury restaurants and a full range of entertainment, recreation and facilities to fully meet the demands of visitors to explore and enjoy.
