The average occupancy rate at tourist accommodation establishments reaches 60%, on peak days, particularly, reaching over 70%, and some areas have an occupancy rate of 95-100%. Total tourism receipts is estimated at VND 24,000 trillion (up 9% over the same period last year).

The flight ticket booking rate departing from Ha Noi on 28th April to tourist destinations such as Cam Ranh, Da Nang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Tuy Hoa, Binh Dinh, ranges from 65% to 77%. Meanwhile, routes to destinations such as Dong Hoi, Buon Ma Thuot, Con Dao, Rach Gia have a booking rate of over 90%; Flight routes to Hue, Pleiku and Can Tho have a booking rate of over 80%.

Regarding the fact of welcoming tourists in some localities, this year's holidays were recorded with positive signals, with a remarkable increase in the number of visitors.

Accordingly, Cao Bang welcomed 60,000 visitor arrivals during 5 days of National holidays, in which 25,000 arrivals to Pac Bo, a special national relic site (increase more than 1,000 arrivals over the same period in 2022). From 29th April to 2nd May, Ban Gioc Waterfall tourist area welcomed 26,000 visitor arrivals, including 300 international arrivals.

Lao Cai in 5 days of holiday served 227,200 visitor arrivals, which increased by 53% compared to the holiday in 2022. Total tourist receipts reached VND 712 billion (up 30%). The rate of room capacity in Sa Pa reached 95% on 29th April - 1st May, mainly in the mid-high-end subdivision in the central area. Particularly for community tourist sites, the average capacity is 65%, of which the largest concentration is in Ta Van and Muong Hoa communes. Sa Pa National Tourist Area has organised 14 events to honour the landscape, beauty and cultural identity, typical of Sa Pa ethnic groups, which are highly attracted people and visitors, such as: the 2nd Fansipan Rose Festival (from 27th April to the end of May 2023); "Sa Pa - Land of Love" Canaval;...

Ha Noi served 719,000 visitor arrivals, including 69,500 international arrivals, the average occupancy is about 58.4%, the total tourist receipts is estimated at VND 2,400 billion.

Ninh Binh welcomed nearly 350,000 visitor arrivals, which increased 63.2% over the same period of last year, including more than 24,000 international visitor arrivals; received VND 320 billion from tourism activities. Room occupancy rate is from 85-90%. Tourist attractions that welcome a large number of visitors are Trang An, Bai Dinh pagoda mountain area, Thung Nham Bird Park, Tam Coc, Cuc Phuong National Park, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital.

In Quang Ninh Province, tourist destinations such as Ha Long Bay, welcomed 65,465 arrivals (international arrivals reached 18,541); Yen Tu relic scenic area welcomed about 11,150 visitor arrivals; 27,000 visitor arrivals to Ba Vang Pagoda; Cua Ong Temple welcomed about 6,780 visitor arrivals; Quang Ninh Museum welcomed about 30,966 visitor arrivals; Ocean Park welcomed about 64,000 arrivals. Room capacity at 4-5 star hotels is estimated at 70%, other accommodation establishments are estimated at 60%. Van Don welcomed about 55,000 visitor arrivals; Uong Bi welcomed about 60,000 visitor arrivals.

Thanh Hoa served about 1,195,000 visitor arrivals (up 33.1% compared to the holiday of the same period in 2022), the total tourist receipts reached about VND 2,865 billion, up 48.3%.

Thua Thien Hue welcomed 99,000 visitor arrivals in the past 5-day holiday. Remarkably, on 1st May, the Hue tourist area sold tickets to more than 24,000 visitors. Visitor arrivals to Hue saw an increase of more than 80% over the same period in 2022; in which, the number of international visitors is estimated at more than 36,000 arrivals, an increase of 26 times. Overnight visitors reached about 54,400 arrivals, up 70%, including 21,600 international visitors. Room occupancy reached 85%, hotels in Hue reached 100%. Total tourist receipts is estimated at VND 153 billion, up 80% over the same period.

During 5 days of public holiday, Khanh Hoa welcomed 798,100 visitors, and total tourist receipts reached more than VND 854 billion. The total number of visitors increased by about 2.5 times compared to last year. According to Cam Ranh Airport, from 29th April to 3rd May, on average, there are about 38 domestic flights and 23 international flights to the airport every day.

From 30th April to 3rd May, Da Lat welcomed about 120,000 visitor arrivals (up 10.9% over the same period in 2022). In which, international visitors are estimated at 4,500 arrivals, domestic visitors are estimated at 115,500 arrivals, and the number of overnight visitors is estimated at 78,000 arrivals.

Ho Chi Minh City served 950,000 visitor arrivals (up 126.2 % over the same period in 2022) of which there are about 48,000 international visitors, the average room capacity is 70-75%, the total tourist receipts is estimated at VND 3,130 billion (up 94.4% over the same period).

Can Tho served 982,000 visitor arrivals, including about 1,800 international visitors; total tourist receipts is estimated VND 523 billion.
