(TITC) - On 30th March 2023, the direct flight from Vientiane (Laos) to Da Nang (Vietnam) was officially operated by the Lao Airlines. The first flight, number QV317 from Vientiane (Laos), carried around 150 passengers to Da Nang (Vietnam).

Passengers on the flight to Da Nang were greeted with a water cannon ritual and enjoyed a lively lion dance performance. On this occasion, Lao Airlines also offers 03 vouchers for Vientiane - Da Nang round-trip tickets for 03 lucky passengers on the flight.
According to Lao Airlines, the Vientiane - Da Nang flight route is operated by Airbus A320 aircraft with a maximum capacity of 158 passengers, flight duration lasts 01 hour and 15 minutes. Flight frequency is 02 flights per week on Thursday and Sunday. Additionally, Lao Airlines operates other direct flights to 02 main hubs of Vietnam, which are Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi. With these routes, Lao Airlines hopes to be able to connect and attract more passengers from countries such as Korea and China, whereby Vientiane will become a transit point for passengers to Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular.

The flight route from Vientiane (Laos) to Da Nang (Vietnam) is of great significance to Da Nang tourism, not only connecting Da Nang with the Lao market but also to other tourist markets in the Northeast region of Thailand. In 2022, Laos ranked 10th in the top 10 main tourist source markets of Da Nang, with the number of nearly 10,000 visitor arrivals, accounting for 2.1% of the total number of visitors to Da Nang.
